Reported Everton transfer target Moise Kean assessed - using Football Manager

It may still be early in the transfer window, but Everton have been active already, completing the signing of former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Jonas Lossl on a free transfer on July 1.

Now, the Toffees have been linked with a permanent move for Juventus youngster Moise Kean, who is one of the most promising young players in Europe, with a £26 million figure mooted.

The 19-year-old made 13 appearances for the Old Lady in Serie A last season, scoring six times, as he made his mark in the first team.

But, just how good is Kean?

And, how good can he become?

We used Football Manager 2019 to find out.

Moise Kean - Juventus

Current ability: 120/200

Potential ability: -9 (180/200)

Positions: ST/AML

Best attributes: Natural fitness (18), agility (15), off the ball (15), determination (15), finishing (14), acceleration (14) and balance (14).

(Football Manager 2019)

At just 19 years old, Kean is still a very young player, and that's reflected in his profile on Football Manager 2019.

The Italian striker clearly has some strong areas, including his natural fitness, off the ball movement, speed, dribbling and balance, even his finishing is impressive for such a young player.

But, with any young player, he does have some weaknesses. His work rate, team work, composure, anticipation, passing, vision and first touch are all average at best, so he has a lot to improve on.

His current ability of 120 out of 200 is impressive for someone so young, but in comparison to the current Everton squad, he's not currently at their level. For example, the likes of Oumar Niasse (125) and Henry Onyekuru (130) are currently rated more highly on FM.

However, his potential ability is set at -9, which means he could potentially reach a current ability of 180 out of 200. This would make him one of the world's best players, more highly rated than the likes of Antoine Griezmann (179), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (170) and Lorenzo Insigne (167).

According to Football Manager 2019, if Everton secure the signing of Kean this summer, they could have a world beater on their hands.
