Report: WR Justin Hunter working out with Redskins

The Washington Redskins are one of several teams working out free-agent wideout Justin Hunter.

So says a new report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, which cites Hunter as finally back to full strength and getting a look from several teams as a result.

Hunter, 28, spent three seasons in Tennessee after coming off the board in the second round and then proceeded to bounce around with three more teams, most recently surfacing in Pittsburgh.

A 6’4″ target, Hunter has scored 13 touchdowns and averages nearly 16 yards per catch for his career. He’s primarily a deep threat, an area where the Redskins seem pretty set at already.

But knowing the injury bug in Washington, it certainly doesn’t hurt for the team to get a look at a guy with pro experience who is under the age of 30 and available.
