The Arizona Cardinals will not have running back David Johnson in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints but they are expected to have one of their top offensive weapons back.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, receiver Christian Kirk will return to the lineup for Arizona.
He had missed the last three games with an ankle sprain.
He suffered the injury in the final minute of the team’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.
Kirk has 24 catches for 242 yards this season.
His return will give the Cardinals a full complement of receivers as they take on the Saints.
The Cardinals are 9.5-point underdogs to New Orleans. Both teams are riding winning streaks. The Cardinals have won three straight and New Orleans has won five in a row. They get starting quarterback Drew Brees back.
Kickoff is at 10 a.m. Arizona time.
