Report: Wide Receiver Cam Sims leaves field with trainers

Update: Cam Sims has reportedly returned to the practice field on Thursday and told a reporter that he was alright.

It looks like the Washington Redskins have had another injury pop up on Thursday morning, the seventh day of training camp.

Wide receiver Cam Sims was seen walking off the field while holding his neck, and he forewent the medical tent and walked straight to the team facility with trainers.

Rhiannon Walker, with The Athletic, reports that Sims briefly talked with the training staff on the sidelines, testing his shoulder resistance. Team president Bruce Allen also came over to check in on the young receiver, who was apparently frustrated.

As NBC Sports’ JP Finlay reported that Sims was walking without a limp, fans can hope that it was just a stinger and not something more serious.
