Report: Washington Redskins likely to sign left tackle Donald Penn

It appears that the Washington Redskins are close to finalizing another free agent signing ahead of the 2019 season.

Although they just recently signed veteran left tackle Corey Robinson over the weekend, reports are out now that the Redskins are bringing in Donald Penn to sign a deal soon. Penn was with the team early last week to workout as training camp began.

In the wake of pro bowler Trent Williams holdout, which has no updates and is unlikely to end any time soon, Washington is experiencing a lack of depth on the left side of the offensive line, and they are looking for veteran players to fill the hole.

Once the Penn deal is finalized, the Redskins will have an array of choices to play at LT, including Geron Christian, Ereck Flowers, Penn, and Robinson.
