Report: Warriors to sign undrafted Ky Bowman to two-way deal

The Summer League in the NBA provides young players with an opportunity to fulfill their dreams of making it to the NBA level. For undrafted rookie Ky Bowman, he showed enough in Las Vegas to earn himself another chance.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Warriors will sign Bowman to a two-way deal. This would give him a chance to continue to grow and develop with the G-League Warriors down in Santa Cruz.

He averaged 2.3 points and two assists in four games in Vegas and despite shooting just 22 percent, he showed off enough to the Warriors brass to give him another look and keep him in their system.

Bowman showed off more scoring chops in college averaging 19 points in his final season at Boston College and he shot 37.4 percent from deep. Over three seasons in college, he averaged 16.9 points and 6.4 rebounds.

So even though he did not show off the scoring ability in the Summer League, he has that type of ability. This gives the Warriors, and Bowman himself, a shot to get things right.
