Report: Vikings worked out former Eagles WR Jordan Matthews

The Vikings have just four active wide receivers after putting Josh Doctson (leg) on the IR.

Per Field Yates, the Vikings worked out former Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews to potentially fill that role.

Matthews was a 2014 second-round pick of the Eagles. His best season came in 2015 when he caught 85 passes for 997 yards and eight touchdowns. He spent 2017 with the Bills before going back to the Eagles in 2018, where he caught just 20 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns.

He signed a one-year, $1.8 million deal with the 49ers in the offseason, but was released before the 2019 season started.

If the Vikings decide to sign Matthews, he’ll join a group that includes Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Bisi Johnson and Chad Beebe.
