Report: Vikings work out CB Orlando Scandrick

With Vikings cornerback Holton Hill suspsended for the first eight games of the 2019 season, the Vikings are looking for some depth.

That could come with veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick.

Per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, the Vikings have worked out Scandrick.

Scandrick, 32, played last season with the Chiefs. Prior to that, he spent all nine seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

In 2018, Scandrick started seven games.

The Vikings only have a little more than $4 million in cap space, so the team will have to be smart in how they replace Hill on the roster. It does help, however, that Hill will not be paid more than $270,000 from the team after being suspsended.

Last season, Scandrick made $1.415 million with the Chiefs, per Spotrac.

The cornerbacks under contract for the Vikings right now are Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander, Mike Hughes, Kris Boyd, Craig James, Hill, Isaiah Wharton, Nate Meadors and Terrance Alexander.
