Report: Vikings work out CB Morris Claiborne

With cornerback Holton Hill suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 season, the Vikings are looking for some cornerback depth.

Earlier this week, the team worked out Orlando Scandrick.

On Friday, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, the Vikings worked out Morris Claiborne.

Claiborne was the sixth-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.

He spent the first five years of his career with the Cowboys and the last two with the Jets.

In 73 starts, Claiborne has seven-career interceptions.

He’s never really lived up to the No. 6 overall hype, but he’s always been a solid corner, and on a one-year cheap deal, he’d probably be worth it for a team like the Vikings.

If the Vikings do sign a corner, it’d be nice to do so before we are too far into training camp and preseason.
