Report: Vikings placing WR Josh Doctson on IR

Eight days after signing wide receiver Josh Doctson, the Vikings are placing Doctson on the injured reserve with a leg injury, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Doctson, a 2016- first-round pick by the Redskins, was hoping to get his career back on schedule. That will have to wait a bit.

Last season, Doctson had 44 catches for 532 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings have just four active wide receivers with Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Chad Beebe and Bisi Johnson. It’d be a surprise if they didn’t add another once they officially place Doctson on the IR.

We’ll update you accordingly on any moves, and Doctson’s official injury.
