Report: Trent Williams fine after serious health scare

Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams is in the clear after dealing with a medical issue teammates thought might hold him out of the 2019 season.

So goes the report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport: “Williams’ health issue was related to growth or tumor on his head that had doctors worried it was malignant. Williams had the growth removed and at this point, should be unaffected once he recovers.”

The report says Williams and the Redskins declined to comment on the matter.

It is extremely good news for the 30-year-old tackle, who is by far one of the NFL’s best on the left side of offensive lines. He’s missed multiple games every season dating back to 2013, but this concern obviously transcended something like football.
