Report: Tramon Mark previously worked out for Thunder in pre-draft visit

The 2023 NBA draft is less than a month away, which means pre-draft visits with prospects will increase exponentially for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder currently own three draft picks — No. 12, No. 37 and No. 50. Considering their recent history, odds are the Thunder will make at least one draft trade.

With three selections though, the Thunder have had their fair share of pre-draft visits with prospects. A recently reported workout included Arkansas guard Tramon Mark, per Rookie Wire.

Mark had a pre-draft visit with the Thunder, but that no longer really matters as he recently withdrew his name from the draft, which means he’ll no longer be an option for OKC.

Despite not getting invited to the draft combine, Mark did his due diligence as a draft-eligible player to see what his market was prior to making a decision on the May 31 deadline where players with college eligibility left could return to school.

The 21-year-old returned to school because his draft stock was likely nonexistent and was heading toward undrafted free agency. Instead, he’ll elect to spend one more college season in hopes of increasing his stock for next year, ala Gonzaga forward Drew Timme last year.

Mark spent his first three college seasons at Houston. In 37 games last season, he averaged 10.1 points on 39% shooting, 4.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He also shot 32.8% from 3 on 3.2 attempts.

Mark will spend his senior season at Arkansas, as he transferred in early April.

The 2023 NBA draft is scheduled for Thursday, June 22. A full list of prospects who’ve met with the Thunder can be read here.
