The Tennessee Titans have reportedly worked out veteran cornerback Ronald Darby.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Tennessee hosted Darby for a workout on Monday. This is the second reported workout for the Titans, as they were also reportedly set to host running back Jacques Patrick.
A 2015 second-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, Darby spent the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos, appearing in 16 games (no starts). The 29-year-old posted 67 tackles (one for loss) and nine passes defensed.
Darby, who can play both in the slot and on the boundary, played in just five games in 2022 before suffering a season-ending torn ACL.
Prior to that, he posted impressive coverage numbers, allowing a completion rate of just 38.9 percent and a passer rating of 69.9 when targeted. In the two years before that, Darby surrendered completion rates of 54.1 percent and 54.3 percent, and passer ratings of 81.0 and 84.8.

If one thing was clear from the Titans’ preseason Week 1 game, it was that the team could use more depth options in the secondary. Darby would be a good addition to help that.
