The Tennessee Titans were in need at kicker after releasing Cairo Santos on Monday.
According to a report from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Titans are set to sign former Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey.
Parkey worked out for the Titans in September.
In the 2018 regular season, Parkey missed a total of 10 attempts (seven field goals, three extra points) and finished with the third-worst field goal percentage in the league (23-for-30, 76.7%). In the final seconds of the Bears’ wild-card playoff loss to the Eagles, Parkey’s 43-yard attempt was tipped at the line of scrimmage, then took unlucky bounces off the upright and crossbar.
Starter Ryan Succop, who began the year on injured reserve, will not be eligible to play until after Week 8.
