Report: Titans, Saints using players and coaches to recruit Jadeveon Clowney

The Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints, two teams reportedly “making strong pushes” for Jadeveon Clowney, are using their players to try and recruit the free-agent pass-rusher.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini originally reported that the Saints and Titans are working hard to bring Clowney in as soon as possible, but she also added that the two teams are using their players and coaches to try and recruit him.

I can think of two people right off the bat that the Titans would be using: head coach Mike Vrabel and cornerback Johnathan Joseph.

Vrabel was Clowney’s offensive coordinator in 2017, the same season the former No. 1 overall pick totaled a career-high 9.5 sacks.

Joseph and Clowney are best friends and former teammates, and their relationship has been described as “like brothers” in the past. They also share the same hometown, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
