Report: Titans release QB Austin Davis

It’s likely the Tennessee Titans will make plenty of moves within the roster during the 2019 offseason, and the team has started the process of making changes.

According to a report by ESPN’s Field Yates, the Titans cut reserve quarterback Austin Davis on Monday afternoon.

Titans team reporter Jim Wyatt confirmed the report shortly after, taking to Twitter with the news the Titans had indeed parted ways with Davis.

Davis was originally signed by the Titans on Sept. 25, following backup Blaine Gabbert’s concussion against the Jaguars in Week 3.

He was then released on Oct. 9, and re-signed on Dec. 24 after Marcus Mariota was sidelined due to an injury.
