Report: Titans’ Monti Ossenfort to interview for Panthers’ GM job

Tennessee Titans director of player personnel, Monti Ossenfort, will reportedly interview for the Carolina Panthers’ general manager job.

According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, Ossenfort, who was hired by the Titans in 2020, will be interviewing for the Panthers job on Tuesday.

Prior to joining the Titans last year, Ossenfort was the director of college scouting for the New England Patriots.

Should Ossenfort get the job, he’d be walking into a situation where there is already a head coach in Matt Rhule, but Carolina also has some interesting pieces to work with and owns the No. 8 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft after finishing the 2020 campaign with a 5-11 record.

Ossenfort is just one member of the Titans’ organization drawing interest for openings around the league, as offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will reportedly be a target for all six teams looking for a head coach.

Furthermore, as Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson reported on “Robby and Rexrode” on 102.5 The Game in Nashville, Smith is considered the No. 1 candidate on the market by two general managers he has spoken to.
