Report: Titans have explored trading up from No. 29 pick

The Tennessee Titans have reportedly explored moving up from the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, the Titans have “looked at moving up from No. 29” to possibly grab a right tackle like Georgia’s Isaiah Wilson.

The Titans have investigated a move down, but I’m told they’ve also looked at moving up from No. 29, maybe to land a right tackle like Georgia’s Isaiah Wilson (who actually went to the same high school as Dolphins coach Brian Flores, and may be in play at No. 26 if Miami decides to double up at tackle).

The rumor that the Titans have looked at trading down to acquire more picks is nothing new, as ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that earlier in the day.

However, this is the first time we’ve seen that the Titans are thinking about moving up.

As it stands right now, the Titans don’t have a lot of draft capital to make such a move. Tennessee is already without its fourth- and sixth-round picks.

The Titans would really have to be in love with a tackle like Wilson if they’re going to give up more picks to thin out their selections even more.

Whether they move up or down, it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that the Titans stand pat at No. 29, but we’ll get the answer soon enough.
