Report: Thunder to sign big man Eric Moreland to training camp deal

With training camp coming up in a little over a month, teams are beginning to bring in some more bodies to throw on to the roster and come in for more talent and depth evaluation. This is no different for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they continue to build their roster.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Thunder will bring in big man Eric Moreland on a training camp deal. Moreland played five games in 2018-19 first starting with the Phoenix Suns and then the Toronto Raptors and was a part of Toronto’s title run in 2019. He averaged 1.4 points and four rebounds.

He does have five seasons in the league under his belt with time spent with the Sacramento Kings and the Detroit Pistons as well as Phoenix and Toronto. He is a physical player who can give the Thunder an extra body to use in camp. He can do a good job of helping them get ready for the season. He can give Nerlens Noel a body to defend and go at to prepare for the real games.
