Report: Thunder expressed interest in Anthony Tolliver

While the rest of the NBA is off and running with the start of free agency, the Oklahoma City Thunder have had themselves a relatively quiet day. They’ve reportedly managed to re-sign backup big man Nerlens Noel, though the numbers have not surfaced yet.

Prior to the report on Noel, there was another, from Darren Wolfson of 5 Eyewitness News in St. Paul, which linked the Thunder to big man Anthony Tolliver, a Minnesota Timerbwolves free agent. The report indicated the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics had also inquired. Tolliver is an unrestricted free agent and has yet to be signed.

Tolliver is a career 37.6 percent three-point shooter and has averaged 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game throughout his career. In 2018-19, Tolliver shot 37.7 percent from deep, but only 38.2 percent from the floor overall. He has been in the NBA since 2008-09 and played for eight franchises, in addition to the Timberwolves.
