Desmond Harrison rose quickly from undrafted rookie to starting left tackle for the Cleveland Browns. His tenure as Joe Thomas’ successor was short-lived, however.
Now it turns out his tenure with the Browns is short-lived, too. The Browns have released Harrison, the team announced Wednesday.
Harrison played his way out of the starting lineup, replaced by journeyman Greg Robinson. The Browns hoped for technique improvement and increased strength in Harrison, but he failed to deliver well enough to continue his development with the team and a new coaching staff.
Robinson is subject to waiver claims by other teams.
