Report: Texas A&M WR Quartney Davis has video conference call with Vikings, among other teams

Quartney Davis, a speedy wide receiver out of Texas A&M, might be a good addition for the Vikings in the draft.

Minnesota needs a wide receiver, or at least depth at the position, after the team traded Stefon Diggs to the Bills.

A downside of the Diggs trade is losing his talent, but an upside is now the Vikings are up to 12 draft picks. They can go about replacing Diggs in what is a loaded wide receiver draft class.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Davis has a video conference scheduled with the Vikings. The Aggies wide receiver also has conferences slated with the Eagles and the Saints.

Davis already worked out with the Cardinals before social distancing came into effect, per Wilson.

Davis isn’t a full-on solve for the Vikings at wide receiver, but he could add some productivity. Davis, Tajae Sharpe, Bisi Johnson and Chad Bebe could make up the wide receiver two spot by committee.

The team already has a surefire No. 1 wideout in Adam Thielen, but after that, there are some question marks currently. Will the team answer those questions in the draft? Let’s hope so.
