Report: Texans WR Will Fuller to miss several weeks with hamstring injury

Houston Texans receiver Will Fuller left the first quarter of Sunday’s 30-23 loss to the Indianapolis Colts with a hamstring injury and did not return to the contest.

Later, the former 2016 first-round pick appeared on the sideline in street clothes, his afternoon finished before it could start with just one catch for six yards.

That catch may be the last the Texans will get from Fuller, who is expected to miss several weeks with a hamstring pull, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

The injury to Fuller indicates why the Texans grabbed receiver Kenny Stills when they made their big trade with the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 31. Not only did the club acquire a dominant left tackle in Laremy Tunsil, but they also picked up an insurance policy for Fuller in case he succumbed to injury, making it his fourth consecutive season since entering the NFL that he has had to miss games.

Fuller has collected 34 passes for 450 yards and three touchdowns through seven starts in 2019.
