Report: Texans workout DEs Nate Orchard, Ade Aruna

The Houston Texans are putting their bye week to good use. On Tuesday, the team worked out defensive ends Nate Orchard and Ade Aruna, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

As Wilson points out, the team did not sign either of the defensive ends. Though, they may do so after the bye week in preparation for their Week 11 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

Orchard, a star in 2018’s HBO’s “Hard Knocks” with the Cleveland Browns, has bounced around the league as of late. After three seasons in Cleveland, the 2015 second-round pick from Utah, registered four combined games with the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs in 2018.

Orchard signed with the Seattle Seahawks in the offseason, was released, then found a home with the Miami Dolphins until he was rereleased.

In 38 career games played (13 starts), Orchard has tallied 69 combined tackles, 14 quarterback hits, nine tackles for loss and five sacks.

Aruna, a Minnesota Vikings sixth-round pick of Tulane in 2018, has not yet played a down of NFL regular season football. At the 2018 NFL Combine, Aruna recorded a 4.6-second 40-yard-dash, 38.5-inch vertical and 128-inch broad jump.

In four years as a member of the Green Wave, Aruna tallied 107 combined tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.
