Report: Texans workout CB Anthony Chesley, DT Eddie Vanderdoes

In 2019, the Houston Texans have been no stranger to continually tinkering their roster. On Monday, they continued to do so, as they worked out cornerback Anthony Chesley and defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Chesley, 23, is an undrafted rookie free agent out of Coastal Carolina. He spent the first seven weeks of the season on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad and was released after they signed wide receiver Damion Willis.

Chesley measures in at 6-0, 190-pounds. He recorded a 4.46-second 40-yard-dash and 35.5-inch vertical leap at his pro day. In his final two years at Coastal Carolina, he tallied 59 combined tackles and 11 pass deflections.

Vanderdoes, 25, is a former third-round selection (2017) from the Oakland Raiders out of UCLA. He stacks up at 6-3, 305-pounds. He has played one season in the NFL (2017), in which he amassed 18 combined tackles, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits.

Vanderdoes was released off of the injured reserve on Oct. 1. He spent all of 2018 on the PUP list as he tore his ACL in the 2017 season-closer.

Vanderdoes signed to practice squad

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans signed Vanderdoes to the practice squad Monday after his workout.
