Report: Texans work out pair of running backs, cornerbacks

The Houston Texans continue to work on their roster. On Friday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the team worked out cornerbacks Adonis Alexander and Brian Allen and running backs Tony Brooks-James and Byron Marshall.

Alexander is a 22-year-old 6-3, 205-pound cornerback that entered the NFL via the 2018 Supplemental Draft, where Washington gave a shot on him for a sixth-round selection. In his rookie season, he allowed one completion for six yards on two targets. Washington released him on October 1st.

Brian Allen is a Texas native (La Marque) whom the Pittsburgh Steelers selected in the fifth-round in 2017 out of Utah. Like Alexander, he measures in at 6-3, with an extra 10 pounds. He is yet to play a defensive snap in the NFL.

Brooks-James went undrafted out of Oregon in 2018. He measures in at 5-9, 179, has yet to record an NFL snap and tallied 2,255 scrimmage yards at Oregon.

Marshall is another former Oregon Duck. He spent his rookie year (2016) with the Philadelphia Eagles, then moved on to Washington. In three years of play, Marshall has 181 scrimmage yards on 44 touches.
