Report: Texans to workout linebacker Brandon Marshall

The Houston Texans are not finishing tinkering with their 53-man roster.

According to a report from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans will bring in former Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall for a workout.

Marshall signed a one-year contract with the Oakland Raiders in the offseason, and he spent their entire nine-week program with them along with training camp and the preseason. The Raiders released Marshall on Aug. 30, just a day before the mandatory cut down to 53 men.

The former 2012 fifth-round pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars has started in 63 of 74 games and collected 423 combined tackles, 6.5 sacks, 21 pass breakups, two interceptions, five forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery, which resulted in a touchdown.
