Report: Texans host former Packers safety Kentrell Brice

Houston’s secondary overhaul is well underway, having parted company with the likes of Kareem Jackson and Tyrann Mathieu, they have already brought in free agents Tashaun Gipson, Brandon Roby, and Briean Boddy-Calhoun.

But it would appear they are far from finished. With Boddy-Calhoun and Roby both on one year deals, it is still likely that GM Brian Gaine is on the lookout for further options for potential long term starters at both cornerback and safety. The latest player to be linked with the Texans is former Green Bay Packers strong safety Kentrell Brice.

The former undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech has seen his game time gradually increase the past three seasons, starting 10 of his 14 appearances last season in Wisconsin, where he recorded 50 combined tackles, one sack, and two defended passes.

Houston will however face competition, with Tampa Bay and Indianapolis also interested in his services
