Report: Texans give kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn a 2nd-round tender

The Houston Texans have given a second-round tender to restricted free agent kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn.

According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, the Texans submitted a $3.1 million tender for the former UCLA Bruin placekicker.

Since joining the Texans in 2016 as an undrafted free agent, Fairbairn has connected on 57 of his 67 field goal attempts and has nailed 37 of 42 extra point tries. The 25-year-old was instrumental in delivering game-winning field goals for Houston in 2018 at Indianapolis, versus Dallas, and at Denver.
