Report: Texans bring back DE Joel Heath on 1-year deal

The Houston Texans have re-signed defensive end Joel Heath to a one-year contract.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the one-year, $2 million deal that the Texans are giving to Heath is worth less than the original round tender he would have gotten.

Heath was active for five games for the Texans in 2018, recording two tackles. From 2016-17, Heath played in 25 games, starting in 15 of them, and racking up 3.0 sacks, 32 combined tackles, and three tackles for loss.
