Report: Tennessee Titans to meet with Ohio State CB Damon Arnette

The Tennessee Titans have another pre-draft visit setup with a cornerback.

According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, the Titans are set to meet with Ohio State corner Damon Arnette, who reportedly arrived in Nashville on Tuesday night.

Arnette spent five years with the Buckeyes and finished with 140 total tackles, five picks and 22 passes defensed.

Per Davenport, he believes Arnette can play either the nickel or on the outside, making him a good fit with the Titans. He also notes the Ohio State product’s physicality and ability to play against the run.

The Ohio State product will likely be around for the Titans to nab with the No. 29 overall pick, but it remains to be seen if he’ll fall to Tennessee late in the second round.

Tennessee is in the market for a corner this offseason because of the potential for Logan Ryan to leave in free agency. Malcolm Butler is also a candidate to get cut, but that might not happen until after the 2020 season.

Arnette is just the latest example of the Titans doing their due diligence on corners for the draft. Florida corner CJ Henderson recently shared the news that he has a meeting set with the Titans, and Tennessee also met with a handful of corners at the 2020 NFL Combine.
