REPORT: Steelers RB James Conner not expected to play vs. Rams

According to Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Gerry Dulac of the Post-Gazette, running back James Conner’s shoulder injury is going to keep him out of Sunday’s game with the Los Angeles Rams. Conner missed last week’s game after suffering an AC joint sprain against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8.

We will know more on Friday, but as things stand it is going to be another heavy dose of Jaylen Samuels on Sunday against the Rams. Trey Edmunds was the primary backup last Sunday, but he’s been limited this week by a rib injury. And Benny Snell Jr. had knee surgery and is highly unlikely to play.  Pittsburgh might need to make a last-minute roster move to inject a little talent into this group.
