Report: Steelers K Chris Boswell gets contract restructure

With salary cap in short supply, the Pittsburgh Steelers are making the rounds among the roster to try to get some contracts redone to free up some space. According to NFL reporter Adam Caplan, the next Steelers set to move money around is kicker Chris Boswell.

No details yet as to how much the move will free up for Boswell. Boswell signed a four-year extension with Pittsburgh and still has three years left. His current cap hit for 2020 is $3.575 million but Pittsburgh can move some base to bonus and help get this closer to the number they need to cover Bud Dupree’s franchise tag.
