Report: Steelers give DT Dan McCullers new two-year contract

According to ESPN report Jeremy Fowler, the Pittsburgh Steelers are re-signing defensive tackle Dan McCullers to a new two-year contract. McCullers was an unrestricted free agent.

McCullers has been with the team since they drafted him in the sixth-round pick back in 2014. He’s never been more than a reserve and rotational player with only three starts over his career.

The Steelers are already set in terms of their defensive line rotation with Cam Heyward, Stephon Tuitt, Javon Hargave and Tyson Alualu in the mix. Pittsburgh could have considered letting McCullers leave and adding in a true nose tackle via the draft.
