According to a report from NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, tight end Seth DeValve was claimed off waivers from the Browns by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Browns parted ways with DeValve after three seasons as part of their wave of cutdowns on Saturday to get to the 53-man roster limit. He spent much of the last two offseasons sidelined with various injuries. DeValve was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Princeton.
Cleveland attempted to transition him to more of a fullback/H-back role this preseason, but it did not work out. DeValve finished his Browns career with 48 receptions and four TDs.
