Report: Seahawks seeking 1st-round pick in trade for Frank Clark

With a league-low four selections in this year’s NFL draft, the Seattle Seahawks still need to find a way to recoup some of their missing picks. One way to do just that is to find a trade partner for defensive end Frank Clark.

The Seahawks used the non-exclusive franchise tag to prevent Clark from hitting the open market at the start of free agency, but now Seattle could be seeking a suitor for the pass rusher, who will turn 26 in June.

Clark won’t come cheap, however, as Seattle is looking for at least a first-round pick in the deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Seattle still is considering trading franchise DE Frank Clark and if he were to be traded before Thursday’s draft, the package would need to include at least a first-round pick, per league source,” Schefter tweeted Saturday.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that several teams are interested in Clark, but finding a club willing to part with a first-round pick for the defensive end might not be that easy. Especially before Thursday.
