Report: Saints won’t allow Bengals to interview Aaron Glenn for defensive coordinator

After whiffing hard on luring Todd Grantham away from the Florida Gators, the Cincinnati Bengals won’t even get a shot at New Orleans Saints defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn.

Glenn appears to be the next target on Zac Taylor’s wishlist, but a new report says the Saints will stop that from happening:

The Bengals had initially sent over a request to interview Glenn on Thursday, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Glenn is quickly becoming one of the hotter commodities in the coaching realm after having his name mentioned with New England recently before Cincinnati.

For the Bengals, that marks three or four known candidates they have tried to go after or at least considered. The search will continue down Taylor’s preferred list and the Bengals remain the only team yet to fill the position.
