It appears as if the Saints are trying to sign all the former Vikings.
New Orleans has already signed guard Nick Easton along with running back Latavius Murray.
Next up, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, is punt returner Marcus Sherels.
Sherels, who grew up in Minnesota, spent his entire career with the Vikings, starting in 2010.
At 31, he’s closer to the end than the beginning, but from 2012 to 2016, he was one of the best returners in the NFL, combining for five touchdowns.
There was a report from Tomasson earlier this offseason that the Vikings wanted to bring him back.
The early leaders to replace Sherels are probably Holton Hill, Mike Hughes and Brandon Zylstra.
