Report: Rob Gronkowski signed with TV and movie production company before Super Bowl

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski began his preparations for life after football before he’d ended his career — or had publicly decided about ending his career. He signed with a film and TV production company prior to Super Bowl LIII, according to NFL Network’s Mike Giardi.

Gronkowski has shown interest in taking on a TV or movie personality, much like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson did in transitioning from WWE to movies. Gronk has appeared movies called “Boss Level” (2019), “American Violence” (2017) and “You Can’t Have It” (2017). The tight end also made a cameo in WWE, a pro wrestling league, in April 2017.

He announced his retirement on Sunday, and will end his career after nine seasons, five Pro Bowls and three Super Bowl wins.
