Report reveals length of contract for former PSG youngster set to sign for Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are set to sign midfielder Fouad Bachirou this week, subject to the player passing a medical.

The 30-year-old will become the Reds’ fourth new addition of the summer as Sabri Lamouchi’s side target promotion in the upcoming Championship season.

And France Football report the length of Bachirou’s deal is due to be two years, with the option for a third year on top of that.

The former PSG youngster will make the move to the City Ground from Swedish outfit Malmo, for a fee said to be in the region of £600,000.

If all goes as expected, he will join Jack Colback, Tyler Blackett and Lyle Taylor as the new faces in Lamouchi’s squad.

Bachirou was at the academy of French giants PSG as a youngster, before spending four years at Scottish side Greenock Morton from 2010 to 2014.

He went on to join Ostersunds, followed by fellow Swedish team Malmo in 2018, while he has also represented Comoros at international level.

Once his move is confirmed, Bachirou will link up with his Forest teammates as they prepare for the new campaign, which gets underway in less than a fortnight.

The Reds face Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on September 5, with a trip to QPR their first league clash a week later.
