Report: Reuben Foster out for season with torn ACL

Washington Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster went down with what is reported to be a torn ACL on Monday morning.

Foster, who was participating in the first day of OTAs, went down with an injury and reportedly was pounding his fists into the ground, with tears in his eyes. He was put into an air cast and carted off of the field.

Even if the severity of the injury is less dire than was originally thought, it still leaves a hole in the Redskins’ defense, especially after they cut LB Zach Brown this offseason.

It is unclear what Washington will choose to do to fill the hole left by Foster’s injury and how they will handle the talented 25-year-old with a muddled past.

Though it could have been a worse injury in the grand scheme of things, Foster will likely still be out for the entire 2019 season.
