Report: Redskins worked out former Jets, AAF LB Dylan Donahue

The Washington Redskins are one of two teams to reportedly take a look at free-agent linebacker Dylan Donahue.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Redskins and Oakland Raiders hosted the former 2017 fifth-round pick as he attempts a comeback.

Donahue got hurt during his rookie season, then got arrested twice for DWI, one of those instances mentioned above. The NFL hit him with a 14-game suspension and he surfaced in the AAF with the Atlanta Legends.

Now looking to re-enter the league, Donahue is back and making the rounds.

These Redskins have a need at the position from a depth standpoint and some coaching turnover for the unit doesn’t hurt, either. Donahue flashed some promise before off-field missteps, so the Redskins were content with giving him an audition.
