Report: Redskins to visit Eagles in Week 1

The Washington Redskins will reportedly start the 2019 regular season in a brutal position against a rival.

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Redskins will start the season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Those Eagles won nine games and a playoff encounter on the road last season, in the process also sweeping the Redskins by outcomes of 28-13 and 24-0.

Philadelphia did lose a critical piece like Nick Foles but also got stronger in a few different areas, perhaps most notably at wideout via the return of DeSean Jackson.

In other words, a Redskins team with an unknown starter under center — though it is presumably Case Keenum for now — will have to enter hostile territory to fight an NFC East rival right out of the gates.

The NFL releases the full 2019 schedule tonight.
