Redskins to sign Landon Collins to massive $84 million deal

The Washington Redskins will finally find a long-term fix at safety in the former of New York Giants safety Landon Collins when free agency opens.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Redskins will dole out $84 million over six years to the 33rd pick in the 2015 draft.

Collins, 25 years old and one of the best safeties in a crowded market for the position, said during his draft journey in 2015 his dream was to play for the Redskins.

The massive contract certainly helps and the Redskins were willing to make it happen after cutting D.J. Swearinger last season and not getting much from Ha Ha Clinton-Dix after the high-profile midseason trade.
