Report: Redskins meeting with free-agent OT Ereck Flowers

On the hunt for help in the offensive trenches, the Washington Redskins have reportedly set up a meet with former New York Giants offensive tackle Ereck Flowers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the two parties will meet at some point Sunday.

Flowers was the ninth overall pick in 2015 but got cut last year when the Giants couldn’t trade him. The Jacksonville Jaguars scooped him up and he appeared in eight games before heading to free agency this offseason.

For the Redskins, this is a depth move and little more. Flowers is only 24 years old, but going to his third different team for a reason. With the way Washington’s line has suffered injuries lately though, it might be a good place for him to develop and get another chance.
