Report: Redskins hosted OL Nate Davis on pre-draft visit

The Washington Redskins keep going through the paces along the offensive line.

This time they hosted North Carolina-Charlotte guard Nate Davis, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Davis, 6’3″ and 316 pounds, funnily enough, gets a comparison to Shawn Lauvao from NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, who writes the following: “He has some flaws, but there doesn’t appear to be glaring holes to overcome his areas of strength and become a starting guard early in his career.”

Lauvao, of course, had been with the Redskins since 2014 and played a spot the Redskins are still trying to fix. Davis is considered a mid-round pick and could perhaps be a steal and instant starter.

The Redskins also recently held a visit with Boston College’s Chris Lindstrom and Alabama State’s Tytus Howard, two other notable offensive line prospects.
