Report: Redskins host Northwestern QB Clayton Thorson on visit

Clayton Thorson is the next quarterback linked to the Washington Redskins.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Redskins had a visit with Thorson on Wednesday.

The Northwestern product stands at 6’4″ and 222 pounds and a season ago threw for 17 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while adding nine more scores as a rusher. He’s viewed as a viable four-year starter who didn’t blossom much in college, but also didn’t have the best surroundings.

The Redskins have now been linked to every first-round prospect at quarterback this year and have worked out others like Thorson and Jarrett Stidham, which is a pretty clear indication the front office will at least add one during the draft.
