Report: Redskins have done ‘serious research’ on QB Jordan Love ahead of draft

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the NFL Draft and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, while several teams look at what they might need to do in order to draft him later this month. Though the Washington Redskins are expected to draft DE Chase Young, there are some who still believe they might try to add another QB to their roster in order to either push or usurp Dwayne Haskins this summer.

According to a new report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Redskins may be interested in another QB though — Utah State’s Jordan Love — saying that Washington is one of several teams who have been doing their homework on the QB.

Love may not be one of the first QBs off the board, but many still expect him to be selected somewhere in the late first to early second round. That would require Washington to make some moves, as they have no second-round pick. It would be pretty shocking to see the Redskins draft another QB this year, as it seems like they are pretty confident in the two passers they have on the roster. Whether they’re actually interested in Love, or they’re just doing their due diligence, it seems highly unlikely that he ends up on the roster this fall.
