Report: RB Theo Riddick deciding between Saints and Broncos

After being cut by the Lions on Saturday, 28-year-old running back Theo Riddick visited the Saints on Sunday and the Broncos on Monday. The running back is now deciding between the two teams, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

In New Orleans, Riddick would presumably be behind Alvin Kamara and Buck Allen and competing with undrafted rookie Devine Ozigbo for the third-string job.

In Denver, Riddick would be behind Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman and competing with Decontae Booker for the third-string job.

So Riddick has to determine where he believes he would have a better chance to win a roster spot and get touches. He’ll also be deciding based on the team’s cities and coaching staffs.

Riddick is widely considered one of the best receiving backs in the NFL — he has hauled 285 receptions for 2,238 yards and 14 touchdowns since entering the league in 2013. There has been no indication of how long Riddick will take to make his decision.
