Report: Ravens visited with Washington State OT Andre Dillard

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens have visited with offensive tackle Andre Dillard, one of the draft’s top prospects at the position.

Dillard is ranked as the second-best offensive tackle and the ninth-best overall prospect in the draft class by The Athletic’s Dane Brugler. A three-year starter at left tackle for Washington State, Dillard led all collegiate offensive tackles with a 94.0 overall pass blocking grade from Pro Football Focus for 2018 and allowed only one sack last season.

The visit appears a little quizzical, at tackle is currently one of the Ravens’ least pressing areas of need. With adept offensive tackles Ronnie Stanley and Orlando Brown holding down the left and right tackle positions for Baltimore, the team doesn’t’ have an immediate need for a player like Dillard.

Nonetheless, there is a potential to convert Dillard to a different position on the line. “[Dillard] is a quick-minded player with the light feet and core power to play multiple positions in the NFL, including left tackle,” writes Brugler in his draft guide.
